In this highly competitive industry, being a DJ and producer is not enough. It is as an artist, that Chris Wren truly distinguishes himself. His skill and style has captivated audiences on dancefloors across the country.

Chris combines his natural talents with 23 years of classical training to produce a signature sound that fuses progressive house with suggestive and provocative tribal undertones. He creates an experience that motivates clubbers, instead of simply supplying a beat. Taking stylistic cues from producers like Danny Tenaglia, Seb Fontaine Tom Stephan and others, Chris' sets are likely to be dark, twisted, and intense. Chris enjoys exploring new music, but his passion for dance music keeps him busy seeking out vintage vinyl from the late 80s and early 90s. Inevitably some of these classics wind up on the turntables wherever Chris is spinning. Ulitmately, he creates synergies between many types of music which keeps his sets fresh regardless if his venue is outdoors on the beach or a late night affair.

In dance music production, Chris has worked with record labels and entertainment companies such as Jungle Red Recordings, Organized Kaos, and Magico Entertainment to name a few. He has remixed tracks for Yemmenite singer Ofra Haza, Majandra, Erin Hamilton, Evanescence (his favorite band), and others. In 2003 he joined forces with former Frequency resident DJ Kio Kio in a new production venture called "Chris and Kio". As of February 2004, 4 tracks have been produced, and negotiations are underway with record labels for their release.

Chris' work has also appeared on Film, TV and Radio. In March, Chris will begin scoring the film Sea of Fear, slated for release over July fourth weekend. He has previously scored and conducted several films, the latest, an Italian feature, It's Still There. In addition to several television commercials, Chris collaborated with Los Angeles, DJ, Scotty K on a remix for Raven Symone's show "That's so Raven" on the Disney Channel and in syndication on ABC Their remix was used as the sound for the music video of the same name which is used extensively to promote the show. Chris has also appeared in numerous TV commercials, as well as TV's Party of Five.

Originally from Laguna Beach, Chris began studying music at the age of 4 and apprenticed with Warren and Kirsten Langlie, before attending Pepperdine University, where he received a minor in Piano Performance.

Last year, Chris was a resident DJ at Los AngelesŐ Here Lounge. He also appeared at Spundae/Nikita (LA-SF), Club Rubber/Pimp and Ho (LA-Las Vegas), G-Lounge (New York) Ritual at Club AD (Los Angeles), The World Party (Los Angeles), and The Freedom Party(Charleston, SC). In addition to continuing clubnights at Ritual and Nikita, look for Chris at Miami's Winter Party and Washington DC's Cherry in spring of 2004.

A self admitted science channel junkie, Chris, 28, lives in Los Angeles. He is a Libra.
